This article explains how Opus pricing works, how orders are counted, when charges begin, and what happens if you cancel your subscription.


Pricing Overview

Opus uses a usage-based pricing model based on your store’s monthly order volume while Opus is active.


Your total charge is made up of:

Total charge = Base fee + Usage fee

  • Base fee: $14.99/month
  • Usage fee: depends on the number of eligible orders generated through your Shopify Online Store during your billing cycle

Free trial

Opus includes a 7-day free trial.

  • You will not be charged during the free trial.
  • Order counting does not begin during the free trial.
  • Billing and order counting both begin on day 8.


How billing works

After ended the trial, when you subscribe to Opus:

  • You are not charged for the first 20 orders.
  • From order number 21, you will be charged the base fee of $14.99.
  • If your store reaches a higher usage tier during the billing cycle, an additional charge is created immediately when that tier is reached.
  • These charges will appear on your Shopify invoice, based on Shopify’s monthly billing process.


How orders are counted

An order is counted toward Opus usage when all of the following are true:

  • The order is created through your store’s Shopify Online Store channel
  • Your 7-day free trial has ended
  • You have the subscription plan active


Billing cycle

Opus usage is measured within your 30-day billing cycle.

Your order count resets at the start of each new billing cycle.


FAQ


When does billing start?

Billing starts on day 8, after your 7-day free trial ends.

This is also when Opus begins counting eligible orders.


Does Opus count orders during the free trial?

No, orders are not counted during the 7-day free trial. Counting begins only after the trial ends.


Can I use the app without subscribing?

Yes, you can open the app and set up features without subscribing. However, you will not be able to change your cart status to Active until you activate your subscription.


What happens if I move into a higher tier?

As soon as your eligible order volume reaches a higher tier, Opus automatically creates the corresponding additional charge.

That charge will then appear on your Shopify invoice.


What happens if I cancel in the middle of the billing cycle?

Your cart will be moved to Draft, Opus will stop being active on your store, and order counting will stop from that point forward.

Unused order quota from the tier you already paid for is not refunded.


Do all paid subscribers get access to all features?

Yes, all features are unlocked once you subscribe.
