What is Reward Bar?

When the customer starts adding products to their cart and you want to offer them some discounts based on their cart value, the rewards bar will serve as a progress tracker that helps them know how close they are to earning rewards. This will increase sales as people will want to buy more and receive valuable rewards.

Common used cases

Example 1: Merchant wants to give free shipping fee for customers spending $100 and more

Example 2: Merchants want to add multiple rewards: free shipping at $100, free product at $200 and 20% total order discount at $500

Steps to set up a Reward Bar

Step 1:

Navigate to the Cart Editor, select the cart that you want to edit. Then select Reward Bar module in the feature menu.

Step 2:

Select the Template and how the reward bar will run

You can select how the reward bar show "With or without icon". Also, select how it runs in the dropdown "Count the reward bar based on"

• Total value: The amount that the customer have to pay for items in cart
• Total quantity: Sum of cart product's quantity

Step 3:

Edit the tier to match your rule

1. Reward types: Including 4 types: Free Shipping, Free Product, Discount, Free Gift. These 4 types will be presented by 4 icons (In #1 template) in cart. Their mechanism are different: Free Shipping and Discount will only change the icon (In #1 template) of the tier to visualize the reward. But Free Product will automatically add a product to cart when the cart value is larger than Minimum Amount, and Free Gift will work based on the set up inside Free Gift module
2. Reward Description: Text line show under reward icon
3. Minimum Amount: The smallest cart value that the customer need to purchase to achieve this reward
4. Text before completing this tier: Text line runs above reward bar before the tier gets filled

Step 4:

Edit reward color and final text

Text after completing full reward bar: Text line above the reward bar shows when all the tiers are reached

Step 5:

Hit "Save" to save all the changes

Step 6:

If the button says Enable, it means that the module is not enabled yet. Click on it to activate the module.

Step 7:

Create matching discounts on Shopify

Except for Free Gift, 3 other types will need to have discounts to work as rewards in cart. These discounts will be set up with the similar condition to the reward tier.

​For example: I have set up Free Shipping tier when the customer reaches $100 in Total value. I will have to set a automatic Free Shipping discount on Shopify with minimum purchase requirement of $100 then hit Save

Advanced Settings

Reward Bar module includes 5 advanced settings in general settings:

• Show rewards on empty cart: Reward bar will show even if the cart is empty
• Allow customers changing added item quantities in their cart: Quantity of products added by "Free product" reward type can't be changed
• Enable Currency converter on Rewards Bar: Reward bar will run dynamically according to the customer preferred currency
• Add discount amount to rewards bar: Discounted amount will be re-added to the reward bar
• Remove auto-added products when the cart value is lower than the Minimum Amount: Rewarded products are removed if cart value drops below the tier’s minimum.

Each reward tier will also have 1 advanced settings:

Show this tier to limited country only: Limit countries from seeing this tier. Each tier can be set to show for different countries
